Setup Page Settings
Before adding content to your template, configure the page settings. These define the overall dimensions, margins, and default typography for your document.
Page format and orientation
In the left panel, choose your page format and orientation:
Page Format
- A4 (210 × 297 mm) — Standard international size, used in most countries
- Letter (8.5 × 11 in) — Standard US size
- A0, A1, A2, A3, A5, A6, Legal, Tabloid — Available for specific needs like posters, labels, or legal documents
Orientation
- Portrait — Taller than wide (default)
- Landscape — Wider than tall
The canvas adjusts automatically to reflect the selected format and orientation.
Safe margins
Safe margins define the space between the edge of the page and where your content begins. They push all sections inward so nothing gets cut off when printing.
Set margins in the right panel under Safe Margins when the Page is selected (click on an empty area of the canvas or select “Page” in the Layers panel). You can set each side independently — top, right, bottom, left — in millimeters.
A common starting point is 8mm on all sides for A4 documents.
Default typography
When the Page is selected, the right panel shows Body Typography settings. These define the default font, size, weight, line height, letter spacing, and text color for your entire template.
Any text element you add will inherit these defaults. You can override them on individual elements if needed.
Background color
Set a page-level background color under Fill in the right panel. This applies to the entire page behind all sections. Most documents use white, but you can set any color — useful for certificates, flyers, or branded documents.
Fixed vs. Infinite mode
You can toggle between Fixed and Infinite mode in the left panel, next to the page format selector.
- Fixed mode — The page has a fixed height matching the selected format. Best for single-page documents with a predictable layout like certificates or letters.
- Infinite mode — The page grows vertically to fit your content. At generation time, it is automatically split into multiple pages. Best for documents with variable-length content like invoices or reports.
